ACTNO, 781e BILL NO. 31-0178 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2015 An Act amending title 23 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 9, section 605 to provide for the determination of occupant load factor for public buildings and the posting of signage indicating their occupant load factor ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION I. Title 23 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 9, section 605 is amended as follows: (a) subsection (a) is amended by inserting “to determine the load occupant factor”; after “hazard,”; and (b) subsections (d) and (e) are re-designated as subsections (f) and (g), respectively and re-designating the remaining subsections accordingly and new subsections (d) and (e) are inserted to read: “(d) The Director shall notify the owner or the lessee of a public building in writing of the building’s occupant load factor, and not later than 90 days after the notification, the owner or the lessee shall post signage at the entrance of the building and in other conspicuous places stating the occupant load capacity of the building. …
