Upon the arrival of the officers and investigators, they observed the lifeless body of a black male who was later identified by his next of kin as Mr. Jamari Gardener, age 24. He appeared to have been shot multiple times to his body and succumbed to his injuries. EMS was present and checked for signs of life and found none. …

He appeared to have been shot multiple times to his body and succumbed to his injuries. EMS was present and checked for signs of life and found none. A canvass of the area was made in an attempt to locate possible witnesses with negative results, however numerous shell casings were located on the ground. The scene was processed by Forensic Unit personnel. This matter is still under investigation.
