July 28, 2020 AMENDMENT FOUR (4) IFB038DOEC20 (C)- Renovation of Special Classroom B111 at the St. Croix Educational Complex in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. INSERT: QUESTION AND ANSWERS 1. Question: What gauge for the walls? Response: Interior studs shall be 20 gauge. 2. Question: Do the walls need any sound insulation? Response: No sound insulation is required. All in-wall wiring and piping shall be properly installed in accordance with local and federal building codes. 3. Question: Will we be using cement board or 5/8" moisture, mold resistant fire rated sheetrock? Response: 5/8” moisture resistant sheetrock shall be used on the interior and exterior of the new restroom stud walls except for the shower. The restroom shower walls shall be cladded with cement board or an approved equal designed for shower installation. 4. Question: On Walk thru we saw that the old kitchen sinks had garbage disposals and water filter systems. Will the new sinks need the garbage disposals and filter systems? Response: No garbage disposal units will be included in this project. …

Question: What gauge for the walls? Response: Interior studs shall be 20 gauge. 2. Question: Do the walls need any sound insulation? Response: No sound insulation is required. Question: In the shower do we need to install an insta hot system? Response: No, there is an existing hot water heater located to the South West of Room B111. 6. Question: The construction of the shower walls. Please specify sheetrock or cement board. Response: The restroom shower walls shall be cladded with cement board or an approved equal designed for shower installation. Finish the Shower walls with ceramic tiles. 7. Question: The bathroom will be ADA specs with all fixtures? Response: The new bathroom installation shall meet ADA specifications. 8. Question: Do we need to install any baseboard? If so vinyl or wood? Response: Baseboard install vinyl base board to the classroom walls and ceramic tiles in the bathroom. 9. Question: Kitchen cabinets will be solid wood? What kind of countertop will be used for the kitchen? Response: Kitchen cabinets shall be constructed of solid wood with an engineered solid surface countertop. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED. BIDDERS MUST ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF THIS AMENDMENT WITH THEIR BID PROPOSAL.
