ACT NO. 6818 BILL NO. 26-0167 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2005 To amend title 23 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 19, section 1524 to provide for pay compensation for employees who are members of the National Guard and Reserves for the duration of their service while on active duty ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 23 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 19, section 1524 is amended by adding a subsection (c) to read: “(c) An officer or employee of the Government of the Virgin Islands, its agencies, authorities and public corporations, who is, on federal active duty, or training duty as a reserve of the Armed Forces, or a member of the National Guard, in excess of 30 days in a calendar year, is entitled to the difference in salary between the pay received from the military and his salary as an officer or employee of the Government of the Virgin Islands, if the military salary is not greater than the Government of the Virgin Islands salary. …
