The closure comes as a precautionary measure due to the lingering negative effects of Thursday's torrential rain event. This step is being taken to ensure the continued safety of staff, clients, and the general public. “We remain committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our community and employees,” said VIDHS Commissioner Averil George. “We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we respond to the impacts of this severe weather event.” The Department will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates to the community as necessary. …
