Richards by Request of the Governor coh OCOOAN DU AWN = WHEREAS, the Legislature in Act No. 6335, Section 10, authorized the Governor, in accordance with Title 31, Section 205, Virgin Islands Code, to enter into negotiations with Marriott Hotel Services Inc. for the conveyance of approximately 550 feet of Route 322, a public roadway commonly known as “Bluebeard’s Castle Beach Club Road”; and WHEREAS, the Governor of the Virgin Islands, on behalf of the Government of the Virgin Islands, has entered into an Agreement with Marriott Hotel Services Inc. to sell Parcel No. 4-1, Estate Nazareth, St. Thomas, consisting of 0.48 acres, more or less as ONO UKRWDND = OouURWNBZODDORANOOA UYU KRWON—=_ OO © shown on OLC Drawing No. D9-540-T00 dated September 15, 1999, for the sum of $50,000 and for other good and valuable consideration, all as set forth in the attached agreement; and WHEREAS, it has been determine that Parcel No. 4-1 is no longer needed for inclusion into the public road system; and WHEREAS, Marriott Hotel Services has agreed to provide a paved turnaround at the entrance to Route 322; to provide a paved easement to the public beach; to keep Bluebeard’s beach neat and clean; to provide a paved easement from the Cabrita Point Road to Bluebeard’s beach; to provide access to emergency vehicles if the need arises; to contribute funds to the Government to offset any loss of highway funds as a result of the sale of Parcel No. 4-1 to Marriott Hotel Services Inc. identified within five years of the sale; and WHEREAS, Title 31, Section 205, Virgin Islands Code, requires the Legislature approval by the Legislature of any sale of land owned by the Government of the Virgin Islands; Now, Therefore, BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. The Legislature, pursuant to Title 31, section 205(f), Virgin Islands Code, hereby ratifies the attached Agreement and Deed of Conveyance between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Marriott Hotel Services Inc. for the sale of Parcel No. 4-1, Estate Nazareth No. 1 Redhook Quarter, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, comprised of approximately 0.48 acres, more of less, to the Marriott Hotel Services, Inc. SECTION 2. Any and all sums received as a result of the sale of Parcel No. 4-1, Estate Nazareth No. 1 Redhook Quarter, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, shall be deposited into the Land Bank Fund created pursuant to Title 33, Section 3004, Virgin islands Code.
