Aline Ann {%elame. is the Granddaaghter of General Be_lame whose plantation is near a famous old Louisiana city. The girl has been reared in a convent and has never seen her grandfather. One day a letter comes, teiling her to come to him and announc- ing the fact that he has chosen a husband for her. , The girl is transpocted with joy, at the thought of having a real home and a husband. But when she arrives at the Belame lantation, she discovers that her in- tended is the withered Monsieur Cayatane, a man almost as old as her grandfather. The out- break of War prevented me from getting over the frontiers and I was interne: for many years in Austria. I have read of you as being the Secre- tary of the newly-formed International Boxing Union and hence my reason for writing you to inform you that 1 have won the B. W. 1. Title here last Decem ber and my greatest desire is to meet Marcel in a Return Match as was pro- mised. My height is sft. Ilins. Weight 12 stones 31 lbs Please let me know if there is a possibility of you arranging a Match for me as . expect to be on the Continent about the end of March to the first part of April T would’nt mind meeting any other French Boxers of repute if ar- rangements can be made.
