BERG, Manager. ITH reference to the Notice signed by C. Crowe, Sec. Labor Union, ap- pearing in this paper, we the under- signed members of the Supreme Council of the Labor Union take this opportunity to state these facts:— (1) That on June 7th. th- President R. de Chabert, was invited to attend a meeting of the Supreme CHuncil along with the other paid and employed Exec- utive officers of the Institution, which invitation they declined, thus and other- wise treating the Council with supreme contempt. (2) The meeting was held without their presence in view of their refusal to attend and subsequently the 24 members of the Supreme Council present at that meeting of the 7th sent a polirely writ- ten invitation to the President of the Labor Unioa asking him to convene a meeting on Friday the 17th inst. for the purpose of: (a) Signing the deed giving to Mr. D. Hamilton Jackson #h2 premises No. 2 Company Street. (b) Th»e putting before the Council a long overdue Financial Statement of the standing of the Institution. . (c) The showing up to the council the original contract said to be existing be- tween the Labor Union and an attorney- at-law, named O. C. Granady, whom they say they have employel as attorney for the Labor Union. () That Rev. R. G. Barrow is the Acting Director of the Educational De- partment of t:e St. Croix Labor Union and will be so until the return of Mr. D. Hamilton Jackson. Arrangements (o that effeet were made by the supreme council in Ju e 1920 and have not s nce been repudiated by them and these ar- rangements are recognised as binding on the Union by the vast majority of the members of the Institution. (6) That regardless of who may think otherwise we the undersigned know that C Crowe. R. de Crabert and 0. €.
