Title 14 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 31, section 622 is amended by 10 inserting the following paragraph (3): 11 2 “(3) uses any vulgar, profane, indecent language, or threats with words or acts 1 toward any law enforcement officer lawfully engaged in the performance of his duties 2 shall be: 3 (a) fined not more than $5,000 for the first offence or imprisoned no less than 18 4 months, or both; and 5 (b) fined not more than $10,000 for subsequent offences or imprisoned not more than 6 36 months, or both.” 7 BILL SUMMARY 8 This bill amends title 14 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 31, section 622, expanding the 9 threshold of disorderly conduct. 10 BR25-0133/March 25, 2025/PFA/Revised March 27, 2025 11
