NOTICE OF PROMULGATION PUBLIC NOTICE: The Virgin Islands Department of Health has prepared a draft for the following regulation: Pronouncement of Death by registered nurses and certified nurse practitioners. The Virgin Islands Department of Health recognizes that a regulation on the Pronouncement of Death by registered nurses and certified registered nurse practitioners is needed in the Territory. This regulation will allow registered nurses and certified registered nurse practitioners, who is employed by a licensed hospice and/or certified nursing homes, to make a determination and pronounce the death of a patient under certain conditions. Please visit our website for the full regulation content at www.doh.vi.gov. The local community is invited to submit comments and representations regarding the draft regulation, Pronouncement of Death by registered nurses and certified registered nurse practitioners, within 30 days ending March 11, 2023. Your comments must be received by March 11, 2023 to be included in the final document by the decision-making authorities. …
