ACT NO.65 7 BILL NO. 25-0033 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2003 To honor Eliza James McBean posthumously and name the clock tower and boardwalk in Frederiksted, St. Croix “The Eliza James McBean Clock Tower and Boardwalk” ---0)--- WHEREAS, Eliza James-McBean better known as “Lin Ms”, “Cousin Ms”, and “Dan Dan” was born under the Danish Flag on September 9, 1895 at Estate Williams in Frederiksted, St. Croix to proud parents, Elizabeth Gordon and Alexander James, and WHEREAS, Mrs. McBean had two brothers, Leander James (deceased) and Johannes Richards (deceased) and three sisters, Rosita James (deceased), Victoria James-Richards (deceased) and Roselyn James (deceased); and WHEREAS, Mrs. Mc Bean was baptized at the Moravian Church in Frederiksted and later confirmed at St. Paul’s Anglican Church where she attended on a regular basis until she decided that she was unable to walk the long block to the church.
