INSERT: Questions & Answers Question/Comment #1 Item 2A: The Description says.... 1.5' x 1.5' x 3' Depth....which is the dimensions for a square hole, a round hole dimensions is 1.5' x 3' Deep, which one is needed? Answer #1 I was referring to the latter (a round hole). I had envisioned the quickest way to dig the hole was to use an auger. Question/Comment #2 Item 2B: The existing material is NOT Aluminum Pipe, it is a 3" x 3" Sq. Galvanize Answer #2 You are correct. | made the assumption the fencing material was aluminum. Question/Comment #3 Item 3: Description says.... straighten section only..... What about strengthening? Do you want it re-inforced? ..... Which is not the same as strengthen. Answer #3 There are four main physically based descriptions that the fences fall under. 1. There are sections which have felled down 2. There are sections which are still perfectly straight as if nothing happened 3. And there are sections in which are out of alignment. If there are sections that must be uprooted to achieve proper alignment then that is what will have to be done. In short, whatever method it takes to achieve proper ali gnment will be utilized. Question/Comment#4 Based on our assessment, we think the Scope of Work needs to be modified, and the completion time of 45-days is not sufficient. Answer #4 I requested 45-calendar days because of the vulnerability of Property and Procurement faces with having such large sections of its fencing down; however, I can add an additional 15 calendar days to the time. All other terms and conditions remain the same. A copy of this amendment must be returned with your bid.
