BILL NO. 28-0018 TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2009 An Act amending 20 V.I.C., and enacting the “Virgin Islands Motorcycle Safety Education Act of 2009” ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 20, Virgin Islands Code, chapter 31, is amended in the following instances: (a) In $101: (1) Add a new definition to read: "Bureau" means the Bureau of Motor Vehicles; and (2) In the definition of “Director”, after the. word “of” insert “the Bureau of”; (b) Add a new §104 to read: “§104. Motorcycle Rider Education Program (a) The Bureau shall develop standards for, establish, and administer the Virgin Islands Motorcycle Safety Education Program. (b) The program must provide mandatory rider training courses for novice riders in sufficient numbers and at locations throughout the territory as necessary to meet the anticipated needs and requirements of residents who seek to operate a motorcycle in the territory. …
