ACT NO. 6846 BILL NO. 26-0243 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 An Act amending 24 V.I.C., chapter 2, the Virgin Islands Occupational Safety and Health Act to incorporate changes in federal law —-O--- perce os Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1: Title 24, chapter 2, the Virgin Islands Occupational Safety and Health Act, is repealed and reenacted with amendments to read as follows: “§31. Purpose (a) The Legislature has determined that in order for the Territory to better protect its public-sector workers, it should retain the duties of regulation and enforcement of rules in places of public employment by formulating and obtaining federal approval for a Public Employee Only State Plan under section 18 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, 29 USC 667.
