ACTNO, 7981 BILL NO. 31-0508 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2016 An Act amending title 33 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 3, section 58 relating to the emergency services surcharge o--(--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 33 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 3, section 58 is amended as follows: (a) subsection (c) by striking “$1.00" and inserting “$2.00”; and (b) subsection (f) by striking alt the language and inserting new language that reads: “Each fiscal year, the Department of Finfinee shall disburse the proceeds of the emergency services surcharge as follows: (1) 40% to the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency: g' — i? y (2) 30% to the Department of Health --- Emergency Medical Services Unit for supplies, training, and personnel; and (3) 30% to the Virgin Islands Fire Services.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on December 21, 2016. 7A, Witness our Hands and Seal of the Legislature of the Virgin Islands this S Day of January, A.D., 2017.
