ACT NO, 6986 BILL NO. 27-0151 TWENTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2007 An Act honoring and commending Emile “Gravy” Henderson, Jr. posthumously; naming the Recreation Courts located at No. 2 Lagoon Street adjacent to Fort Frederik in Frederiksted, St. Croix “The Emile “Gravy” Henderson, Jr. Sports Courts”; and appropriating $1,000 for a sign at the Emile “Gravy” Henderson Sports Court ---0--- WHEREAS, Emile “Gravy” Henderson, Jr. was born on February 29, 1944, to Emile Henderson, Sr. and Genla James-Henderson in Frederiksted, St. Croix; and WHEREAS, Emile “Gravy” Henderson, Jr. was affectionately known to his family as “Junie” or “Gravy” and was baptized at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Frederiksted, St. Croix where he remained a faithful member until his passing; and WHEREAS, Emile “Gravy” Henderson, Jr. attended mass regularly -on Wednesdays and Sundays and served his Lord in many capacities and his church as an usher; and WHEREAS, Emile “Gravy” Henderson, Jr. attended the St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Frederiksted, St. …
