ACTNO. 8256 BILL NO. 33-0116 THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2019 An Act amending title 32, chapter II, sections 201 and 209 of the Virgin Islands Code relating to the Virgin Islands Horse Racing Commission to prohibit the chairmanship and vice- chairmanship from being held by members from the same district; to require that a quorum consist of at least five Commission members; to authorize the Commission to establish by regulations the number of meetings to be held annually; to reduce the per diem allowance from $500 to $150; to authorize district meetings; for the performance of certain duties; to provide for the default of the Franchise Agreement for failure of the franchisee to meet its annual obligation to the Commission; and to set the due date for payment of the annual franchise fee as Decembcr 3 of each year Be it enacwd hr the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. …
