ATNO, 6728 BILL NO. 26-0008 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2005 To amend title 14, Virgin Islands Code, section 1265a to provide for an increase in the fines for school vandalism and to authorize that those fines collected be deposited into an imprest account of the school vandalized for use to help to defray the cost of repairing the damage that occurred, to make an appropriation and for other related purposes --0-- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 14, section 1265a, Virgin Islands Code, is amended in the following instances: (a) Subsection (a) is amended in the first sentence by striking “$1,000” and inserting “$5,000” and by striking “two” and inserting “five”; and (b) Add subsections (c) and (d) to read as follows: “(c) The fines and costs charged and collected in accordance with subsection (a) of this section must be deposited into an imprest account of the school vandalized and must be used to defray the costs associated with the damages that occurred and for any other school-related da …
