Bolques, Jr., Samuel Carriόn Marvin A. Blyden and Diane T. Capehart Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Title 20 Virgin Islands Code, part II, chapter 38, section 425 is amended 2 as follows: 3 (a) in subsection (a) by striking “$3.75” wherever it appears and inserting “$5.00”; and 4 (b) in subsection (d) by inserting “, $1.25 into the “General Fund of the Treasury of 5 the Government of the Virgin Islands”, after the first instance of “code”. 6 BILL SUMMARY 7 This bill increases the motor vehicle rental surcharge and deposits the additional $1.25 8 into the respective Public Road Account. 9 BR23-0906/March 27, 2024/LMW 10
