THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner AAF Justice Complex, 5400 Veterans Drive St. Thomas, 00802 * (340) 774-2211 Administrative Services Building 45 Mars Hill, Frederiksted St. Croix, 00840 * (340) 778-2211 www.vipd.vi.gov VIPD NEWS RELEASE - 061923-195 For Immediate Media Distribution June 19, 2023 Victims Report they were Robbed by a Black Male near Wimmelskaft Gade St. Thomas, USVI - On Saturday, June 16, 2023, at approximately 2:45 p.m., 911 Central Dispatch received a call concerning a possible robbery that occurred in the area of Wimmelskaft Gade, St. Thomas. The Richard Callwood Command Patrol Officers Unit were dispatched and conducted an inspection of the area. Upon doing so, they made contact with the victims who explained that a black male forcibly robbed them and pointed a gun at them then fled the area. This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact 911, Criminal Investigation Bureau Detective S. …
