§ ° 3 ® Notice To Creditors. IN THE ESTATE OF JULIUS GRILES, DECEASED. OTICE is hereby given that the un- N dersigned has been appointed admin- istrator of the Estate of JULIUS GRILES, deceased. All persons having claims against the said Estate are hereby required to file same with necessary vouchers with the under- signed Admigistrator within six months from date of this notice, at his of- fice at Frederiksted Fort. N reference to the resolutions said to l have been passed by the Supremne Council of the Labor Union in session assembled, it is hereby made known ; 1. 'That there was no session of the Supreme Council on June 14th, but only certain members of the Supreme Council invited to a meeting where Mr. Brow acted as Chairman and Rev. Barrow as Secretary. A 2. That the Chairman of the Supreme Council who is rhe President of the La- bor Union was unaware of the proceed- ings. as al<o the Executive Officers of the Union and a number of other mem- bers of the Council. 3. That no meeting of the Suvreme Council can be convened axcept in the regular way prescribed by the laws of the Union. 4. Ibat, regardless of who disapprove, the president acted within his constitu- tional authority when, after serving sev- eral notices on Rev. Barrow to vaecate the premises, finally took legal steps to enforce his request; aad the Court up- held the action, in spite of whoever tries to set at naught the Couri’s decision. 5. Rev. Barrow is not at present act- ing Director of the Educational Depart- ment, nor is he a member of the St. Croix Labor Union,. The Executive Officers of the Labor Union refuse to be led away into any agitation that they realize is bound to ultimately destroy the good relations and peace in the community. King’s Hill Poor PFarmi--This insti- tution was 2stabiished with ut the eoy- sent of the Uouncil, there se=ms to have been some misunderstanding, but in go- ing over the matter with the Uov ernment we all agreed that there should be such an institution, but the creatin and working of same should be fixed by ovdinance. If no amount was budgetted. the institution would cease to function at the end of the fiscal year, therefore Fres 47,600 was granted, the same as was done last year. . With regard to the Department of Pub- lic Instruetion, the Director assures us that he intends to make a thorough re- organization, and therefore we did not make much changes in that Department. The amount for the Public library has been put the same as last year. Public Work Department under equiy- ment. There are items there that were budgetted last year and it was thought that it was not necessary to budget them again this year, bur after consultation with the Assist- ant Public Work Officer, we found that the amounts budgeted for those items last year were used in buying a truck. With regard to new construction, all that were not absolutely necessary were stricken. That seemns to b 2 a mistake: the school is inten ed for Annally and not Diamond. My attention was ealled to that today by the Director of Bduea- tion. 2nd Member for Christiansted Town (Canegata) remarked: Mr: Chairman.
