* ACT NO.6477 BILL NO. 24-0181 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2001 To posthumously honor Mark Christopher Marin and to amend title 19, chapter 20, section 403 and title 20, chapter 35, section 373, Virgin Islands Code, to create the Mark C. Marin Organ Donor Card ---()--- WHEREAS, Mark Christopher Marin was born on August 7, 1949, the eldest of six children; and WHEREAS, Mark Christopher Marin grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan graduating, from Aquinas College; and WHEREAS, Mark earned his Masters degree in education from Columbia University in New York City, where he taught pre-school prior to moving to St. Thomas in 1972; and WHEREAS, upon his arrival to St. Thomas, Mark, taught economics and was a guidance counselor at Sts. Peter and Paul High School until 1979; and WHEREAS, in 1979, at the age of 29, Mark became the Headmaster at Antilles School. …
