ACT NO.6475 BILL NO. 24-0159 TWENTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2001 To posthumously commend Rudolph Shulterbrandt and name the building and fairgrounds presently in use as the Department of Agriculture in his honor ---0--- WHEREAS, Rudolph Shulterbrandt was born January 19, 1922 to Solomon and Anita Shulterbrandt on St. Thomas at 16A Vester Gade, in the Savan area of Charlotte Amalie; and WHEREAS, Rudolph Shulterbrandt attended Charlotte Amalie High School when classes were held at Garden Street and the Barracks Yard, now the Legislature building in St. Thomas; and WHEREAS, Rudolph Shulterbrandt, after graduation in 1941, apprenticed with Mr. Steele, a cabinet maker, becoming highly skilled at crafting beautiful curio-jewelry boxes and mahogany cabinets; and WHEREAS, Rudolph Shulterbrandt was drafted, in the early 1940’s, into the U.S. Army, Company No. 872 and 873, and was called for World War II action; and WHEREAS, Rudolph Shulterbrandt was honorably discharged from the U.S. …
