THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner VIPD Release- 092622-269 For Immediate Media Distribution September 26, 2022 The VIPD Motor Carrier Unit Investigating an Auto Collision Involving a Truck that Fell onto a Vehicle Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas- On Monday, September 26, 2022, 911 received a call at 6:17p.m., about an auto collision involving a truck that fell onto a vehicle. Officers arrived and conducted a preliminary investigation; which revealed that a truck that was transporting a roll on/off garbage bin filled with dirt fell over on its right side onto an SUV. This collision occurred on the Turpentine Run Road on the curve around the Nadir Basketball Court. The SUV driver and passenger were both transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital via ambulance to be treated. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.
