BILL NO. 26-0090 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES " | Regular Session 2005 To honor and commend Leonardo “Nardo” Trotman posthumously and to rename parcel No. 34 Estate Charlotte Amalie No. 3, New Quarter the “Leonardo ‘Nardo’ Trotman Drive”. . ---0--- WHEREAS, on that beautiful day of November 7, 1941, a handsome baby boy, - named Leonardo Trotman, the third of four children, was born to Mr. and Mrs. John ~ Williams Trotman, Sr. of St. Thomas, now deceased; and _ (WHEREAS, Leonardo Trotman, nick-named “Nardo”, and affectionately known as “Nardo” was a product of the public school system having attended the James Madison Elementary School, now known as the Edith Williams Elementary School and the Charlotte Amalie High School; and WHEREAS, his Christian education was received at the New Hermhut Moravian Church, where he attended Sunday School and was later confirmed in the 1950s; and WHEREAS, “Nardo” was a very serious and hardworking young man whose first love was for animals, such as goats, cows, sheep and in particular, horses and who assisted the …
