S. “Parima’® from New York. —The Bulletin, Sept. 7th. The St. Thomas Labor Union attained its seventh year last Saturday, but ow- ing tu the late arrival of the Romanita and the discharging of her cargo on that day, the usual celebrations were post- poned. On Sunday afterno>n, at 3 o’clock, a special service was held at the Du'ch Reformed Church, during whicha ser- mon appropriate to the occasion was ably delivered by Rev. Folensbe. The church was erowded with the workindg people and their friends, all of whom left [the building deeply impressed by the words they had so attentively listened to. An extraordinary meceting neld at the Union Hall at 9 p. m. was also large- ly attended. when special addresses were delivered by the leader, Mr. George Moorehead and officers of the institution. Monday morning, at 10.15, the mem- bers assembled at the Hall, and head- ed by a band of musie, they form:d an orderiy parade marching up the Main street towards Government House, where they were reviewed by His Execelleney the Governor and the Hon. The Govern- ment Secretary. The Goveraor spoke kindly and encouragingly to the paraders as they came to a halt and was thanked on their hehaif by My, Mogrehead. Re- suming its :march, the procession contin- ved through the Fizld, returning by the way of Norregade to the starting point, where it dispersed. A pienic at Mos- quito Bay this afiernovn, and a dance tonight will clos2 the calebrations.
