Caroline Kwan, Project Officer, Eastern New York/Caribbean compliance Section Emergency and Remedial Response Division U.S. EPA Region II 26 Federal Plaza New York, New York 10278 Dear Ms. Kwan: The Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR), Division of Environmental Protection (DEP), in agreement with the Tutu Environmental Investigation Committee (TEIC), will host a technical review of the data *~*^ collected to date pertaining to the contamination of the Tutu >, aquifer beginning at 9:00 a.m. on April 26 and 27, 1993 at Nisky Center, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. As there will be a major United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-sponsored meeting pertaining to the Tutu contamination on April 28, 1993 in St. Thomas, a technical review of the data collected to date will be performed by the geoscientists involved, as a committee, before this date. In particular, the committee needs to discuss the effect of the present known or estimated ground water pumping occurring in the Tutu aquifer with respect to the migration of the contamination plume. The contact person for DPNR is Adrian Schottroff, staff geologist for DEP, who will be acting as chairman for the technical review committee.
