A., SATURDAY, 22np MARCH 1924, Raw sugar futures declined 8 to 11 points under liquidation, resulting from early weakness in raws, but rallied sharply on active covering and buyinyg for Cuban account. The upturn was due to the rally raws and reports of unfav- ourable developments in Cuba. Final prices were 16 to 17 points net higher. Close. March 5. 18, May 5.24, July 5 28, September 5,25. Refined sugar was easi- er and uuchanged to 20 pcints lower. Fine granulated is now quoted at 840 and 8.60, with a better inquiry at the in- side figure & Refined futures were nom- inal. i -Es Brussels, March }l9th—M. Haymans, Foreign Secretary, hassent a letter to Mr. Mae Donald expressing the hope that cooperation between Great Britain and Belgium will bring about the reestablish- ment of economic ‘peace. M.
