Potter President Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the Virgin Islands Capitol Building St. Thomas, Virgin Islands 00802 Dear Mr. President: I am writing to formally notify you that, regrettably, I will be unable to testify before the 36th Legislature’s Committee of the Whole regarding Bill No. 36-0085, an act to prevent or rescind any automatic implementation of salary adjustments made pursuant to the recommendations of the Virgin Islands Public Officials Compensation Commission. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, I am unable to participate at this time. I trust that in the future, we will have a more suitable opportunity to address this matter of public officials’ compensation and retirement through an open and fair process, based on proven data and methodologies.
