AT NO, 7382 BILL NO. 29-0342 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act amending title 3 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 5, section 65a by adding subsection (e) allowing the Governor to fill vacancies on Boards and Commissions when the vacancy requires the appointment of a Commissioner or Division Head ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, Chapter 5, section 65a is amended by adding subsection (e) to read as follows: “(e) Notwithstanding any other law, the Governor shall have discretion to appoint any commissioner, division head, or director of any department, agency or office of the Executive Branch of the Government of the Virgin Islands to any Board or Commission when the law or regulation so requires.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on June 28, 2012.
