Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 2 •HR 2296 RH SECTION 1. SIZE AND QUORUM OF LEGISLATURE DETER- 1 MINED BY LAWS OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS. 2 (a) SIZE OF LEGISLATURE.—Section 5(b) of the Re- 3 vised Organic Act of the Virgin Islands (48 U.S.C. 4 1571(b)) is amended— 5 (1) by striking ‘‘fifteen’’; and 6 (2) by inserting after the first sentence the fol- 7 lowing: ‘‘The number of such senators shall be de- 8 termined by the laws of the Virgin Islands.’’. 9 (b) NUMBER CONSTITUTING QUORUM.—The first 10 sentence of section 9(a) of the Revised Organic Act of the 11 Virgin Islands (48 U.S.C. 1575(a)) is amended to read 12 as follows: ‘‘The number of members of the legislature 13 needed to constitute a quorum shall be determined by the 14 laws of the Virgin Islands.’’. 15 Union Calendar No. 468 106TH CONGRESS 2D SESSION H.
