The memorial service held yesterday . afterncon at 5 o’clock in the Keformed | Duteh Church, in commetaoration of the ' death "recently of Mr.® Bartholomew | Bornn, in the island of Trinidad, B. W. Yesterday afternoon was rather a very busy ore a: the Municipal Hospital, there being anotaer Baby-Show on. Some of the old familiar hymns so loved by the deceased, and cherished by His Lordship in memory of toyhood’s early days, were sung; while scores availed themselves of the opportunity of manifesting their greater appreciation of the honour done the late Rector, by partaking of the Holy Mysteries. Shortly before the end of - the service, His Lordship feelingly thanked the people for their loving gift. Os ourse, mueh more can be written. But who that knew the Archdeacon. could refrain from respecting and loving him? And it must, indeed have been gratifying to his son the Bishop, to wit- ifess the love and esteem munifested by the large congregation for the memory of the deceased.
