Americanism, and every man who ob- jects to it does not know the Judiciary system ot the United States. 1 have great respect tor my legal friend on the other side of the table, but I claim that he does not know the theory of our judiciary system; I also have great re- spect for the honorable last speaker, but I also claim that he too does not know the theory of our judiciary system. Now whose advice are you going to take. "he police judges are absolutely in lisvencable, you can have another judge on the istrict Court if you want to pay the expense, but you cannot take away the police judges. As'regards having one or two ‘udges, twdfjudges would have its good effect as well as one judge would have its gocfl effect, but couldn’'t something be done byway of amendment to satisfy the Council? 1 do not know how the other members feel, some say one thing and some say another. Apart from Ist Member for Christian sted Country Distriet and 2nd Appointed Member (Noll} we have no other legal adviser in the Council. If the laws are passed as they stand what would be gain 1° the organization act is blocked ? I was not here when 2nd Discussion was closed, why was it closed so hurriedly, why was it not ieft opened until some clear understanding had been arrived at? 3rd Member for Christiansted Country instrict (Robt. W. Some time ago Judge Noli said some thing about the police judges having to attend to five thousand police cases and the upp r judge fortv cases between the two islands; he also said that one of the police judges should be cut out so as to give the upper judge something more to do, and now he says we must have two police judges, really I do not under- stand the whole thing as it stands.
