Y. Don- aidson. new prohibition commissioner for Porto Rico, who has taken up the duties of his office here, having relieved Geo. Matthews, the United States Inter- nal Revenue Agent, who was acting as prohibitton commissioner. “It is ou. purpose anc desire to coop- erate with all of the present agencies for the =niorcement of the prohibition law,” said Mr Donpaidson. ‘“As the organizatiou of ur officc develops it 1s provided that we may have special avents, bui these will only be used to cooperate with the agencies already es- tablished for law enforcement. WATER ZSUPPLY MORE NORMAL. While the Municipal Agqueduct depart- ment requests that everyone continue to economize as much as possible in the use of water for the next days, it believ- os that there will soon be a complete vater supply again. A consider-ble supply of water has been saved, and as some neavy rains have fallen in the Is- land it is believed that the situation will soon be-normal, or at least, that there is no cause for immediate alarm. : Although .no official statement has been made. it is believed that the Muni- cipal Assembly will take up the question of enlarging the aqueduct in the near tutuve.— [bid. : Eo PARTIES indebted:'to W.
