Title 28 Virgin Islands Code is amended by adding chapter 8 to read as follows: “CHAPTER 8 UNIFORM REAL PROPERTY ELECTRONIC RECORDING §151. SHORT TITLE. This chapter may be cited as the Virgin Islands Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act. §152. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: (1) “Document” means information that is: (A) inscribed on a tangible medium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is retrievable in perceivable form; and (B) _ eligible to be recorded in the land records maintained by the Recorder of Deeds.
