ACTNO, 7244 BILL NO. 29-0009 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2011 An Act to reprogram funds from the Public Parking Lot Fund to the Department of Public Works to use as leverage and partner with a private entity to design and build a multi-level parking facility at the Fort Christian parking lot and to amend title 24 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 18, section 471 to define severance payment ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the limitations on the use of funds prescribed in 33 V.1.C., §3007 (c), the Commissioner of Finance shall disburse to the Department of Public Works on a yearly basis beginning with September 30, 2012 a sufficient portion of monies collected from the Fort Christian Parking Lot exclusively for the Department of Public Works to form a partnership or other joint venture with a private enterprise to engineer, design and construct a multi-level mixed-use, parking facility at the Fort Christian Parking Lot which includes space for parking automobiles and for carnival and other public a …
