Turner Founder, Sun Healthcare Group Healthcare Executive and Long-Term Care Specialist Re: Invitation to Testify – “Aging with Dignity: Oversight of Nursing Homes and CMS Certification Readiness in the Virgin Islands” Dear Mr. Turner, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for your willingness to participate virtually as a testifier during the upcoming oversight hearing entitled: “Aging with Dignity: Oversight of Nursing Homes and CMS Certification Readiness in the Virgin Islands.” The hearing is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Given your extensive experience in healthcare leadership and the development and operation of Skilled Nursing Facilities across the United States, the Committee would greatly value your professional insight regarding best practices in long-term care, operational standards for nursing homes, and strategies for improving elder care services. Additionally, the Committee looks forward to learning more about the proposed nursing home development project in St. Croix, including the anticipated timeline for development, the proposed number of rooms and resident beds, services to be offered within the facility, and the potential impact this project may have on strengthening long-term care services within the territory. Pursuant to Committee procedures, written testimony is requested at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the hearing to assist with the preparation of the official record.
