ACT NO.6646 BILL NO. 25-0093 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2004 To amend title 17, section 455, Virgin Islands Code, to reduce the number of members of the Board of the University of the Virgin Islands who are appointed by the Governor and provide an alumnus member that is elected from among its members ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 17, section 455, Virgin Islands Code, is amended in the following instances: (a) Paragraph (2) is amended by deleting “ten” where it appears and inserting “nine” in lieu thereof and by deleting “six” where it appears and inserting “five” in lieu thereof; and (b) Paragraph (6) is renumbered as paragraph (7), and a new paragraph (6) is added to read: “(6) | The alumni association shall elect one member, from among its members, who shall serve as a voting member of the Board and shall serve for a three-year term. The alum shall be elected from existing alumni association chapters, and no chapter shall have two consecutive members on the Board. …
