ACFNQ 8199 BILL NO. 33-0011 THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2019 An Act amending title 14 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 60, section 119! relating to strengthening the loitering law and increasing the penalty for loitering ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature oft/ic Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title I 4 Virgin Islands Code. chapter 60. is amended by striking the existing section 1 91 and inserting a new section 1191 in its stead: “ 1191 Loitering defined; punishment (a) To loiter means to he dilatory, to stand idly around, to linger, delay or wander about, or to remain, abide, or tarry in a public place and, in doing so, engage in any one of the activities set forth in subsections (b) and (c). (b) A person commits the crime of loitering when the person: (I) lingers, remains or prowls in a public place for the purpose of gambling with cards, dice or other gambling paraphernalia pursuant to 14 V.1.C. …
