ACT NO. 6994 BILL NO. 27-0114 TWENTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2008 An Act amending 31 V.LC., chapter 21, section 202 (a) to provide for preferential treatment for tenants of public housing in the event of being displaced by fire, earthquakes, windstorms, floods or any other Act of God or man made disaster ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 31 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 31 section 202 (a) is amended by striking the period after “projects” and inserting any tenant of public housing who is displaced by fire, earthquake, windstorm, flood or any other Act of God or by a man-made disaster must be given first preference in re-occupying the unit vacated when the unit is made livable.
