March 19 U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, the chairwoman of President Biden’s COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force, will be the guest on the “Press Box” at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 on the Government House Facebook page at facebook.com/GovernmentHouseUSVI . Dr. Nunez-Smith was one of 12 individuals chosen by President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in early February to be on the task force. Dr. Nunez-Smith will sit down with Assistant Commissioner of Health Dr. Nicole Syms, and they will discuss the safety and importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19, the different types of vaccines available and concerns that people may have about getting the vaccine. “Press Box” was developed to underscore the Bryan-Roach Administration’s commitment to transparency and open government and to restore the public’s trust in government. Residents can watch a live feed of the program at 5:30 p.m. every other Thursday on the Government House Facebook page at facebook.com/GovernmentHouseUSVI . Copies of previous “Press Box” programs also are archived there.
