ACT NO. 6862 BILL NO. 26-0306 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 i An Act honoring Fritz E. Lawaetz posthumously for his contributions to the Virgin Islands and naming the Legislative Conference Room on St. Croix in his honor ---0--- WHEREAS, the late Fritz Lawaetz was born on October 5, 1907, to Carl and Marjorie Lawaetz; and , WHEREAS, he was born in his family’s home, now the Lawaetz Museum, in Estate Little LaGrange, Frederiksted; and WHEREAS, Mr. Lawaetz received his elementary education in Frederiksted and traveled to Denmark to study and train in the field of agriculture; and WHEREAS, he received his Diploma from Stenhus Kostskole in Holbaek, Denmark in 1925; and WHEREAS, from 1925 to 1927, he worked as an apprentice on Danish farms; and WHEREAS, after completing his education, he returned to St. …
