ACT NO, 741 BILL NO. 29-0463 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act ratifying Contract No. PCO30DPW13 between the Government of the Virgin Islands, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, and Precise Builders ---0)--- WHEREAS, Precise Builders furnished all labor, materials and equipment necessary to provide thermoplastic pavement markings in the St. Thomas/St. John District during the period beginning July 1, 2011, and ending August 31, 2012; and WHEREAS, the Government promised to pay Precise Builders $730,116.20 upon receipt of satisfactory services; and WHEREAS, Precise Builders completed all work, and the work was accepted as satisfactory by the Government prior to the execution of a written contract; and WHEREAS, title 31, section 249 of the Virgin Islands Code mandates the issuance of a written order approved by the Commissioner of Property and Procurement before any department or agency of the Government may make a purchase of goods or services, and section 236 requires all contracts over $50,000 to be in writing; and WHEREAS, pursuant …
