ACTNO. 7836 BILL NO. 31-0317 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2016 An Act authorizing the Government of the Virgin Islands to enter to an agreement allowing for the temporary assignment of federal government personnel to the executive branch of the Government of the Virgin Islands pursuant to the federal Intergovernmental Personnel Act Mobility Program WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) Mobility Program codified at 5 USC §337! through §3376 provides for the temporary assignment of personnel between the Federal Government and various entities including state and local governments, colleges and universities, Indian tribal governments, federally funded research and development centers, and other eligible organizations; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the IPA, the Government and a federal agency may agree to an assignment for up to two years in either an intermittent, part-time, or fulltime position, which may be extended for. …
