There were 137,413 visitors to the Territory in October 2008 compared to 109,359 last October. The number of air visitors grew to 39,108 from 30,997 in October 2008. Cruise pas- sengers also rose to 98,305 from 78,362 a year earlier. Arrivals by District The ongoing USVI Sizzlin Sampler and St. Croix Fantastic Flight air booking promotions sponsored by the USVI Department of Tourism and its participating partners have continued to be a major contributing factor in the uptick in air visitors. The promotions’ package includes credits on air travel, coupons for restaurants and attractions, and eligibility for a 4th night free hotel stay within the Territory. The St. Thomas and St. …
