BILL NO. 27-0016 ots ACTNO. 6923 yeToep TWENTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISMOVERAOR Regular Session 2007 An Act appropriating $400,000 from the Internal Revenue Matching Fund to the Department of Education for establishing and conducting the Summer Science and Humanities Enrichment Program ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. (a) There is appropriated from the Internal Revenue Matching Fund in the fiscal years ending September 30, 2008, 2009 and 2010 the sum of $400,000 to the Department of Education to conduct the Summer Science and Humanities Enrichment Program, established in Act No. 6734, in the districts of St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John. The funds must be distributed equally between each district and geared towards junior high and high school students’ improvement of their performances in science and humanities disciplines. (b) The sum appropriated in subsection (a) remains available until expended. SECTION 2. The District Coordinators of the Department of Education shall administer the program in Section 1. …
