ACT NO, NO. 6.82 6 TWENTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2006 An Act honoring and commending Trevor Nicholas “Nick” Friday posthumously and naming a road in his honor, for his contributions to Calypso Music, The St. Thomas Carnival and Virgin Islands History and Pride. -—~-()--- WHEREAS, ‘Trevor Nicholas “Nick” Friday was born on December 28, 1961, in Antigua, West Indies; and WITEREAS, he began his education at Miss Davis School and 81. John’s College in Antipua: and WHEREAS, he continucd his education in St. ‘Thomas, first attending the Tutu Elementary School and graduating from Ivanna Eudora Kean High School in 1981; and WHEREAS, he coached the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Tackle Football ‘Team; and WILEREAS, Nick Friday began his musical career at wanna Eudora Kean High School where in 1973 he won the school’s first Calypso competition and took four consecutive crowns: and WHEREAS, Nick joined his first band, [NT BRASS, in 1976 and later joined with Eddie Francis and the Movements and subsequently branched out as JAM BAND; and WHEREAS, the JAM BAND unde …
