The following persons are ac- knowledged for their various contribu- tions in the publication of this document. In the Department of Education, Dr Noreen Michael, Assistant Commis- sioner, Ms Hyacinth Walters and Mr Randolph Thomas were instrumental in helping ECC obtain education statistics on the public and nonpublic school sys- tem. Dr John Ambrose, Director of In- stitutional Research and Planning, made available education statistics at the Uni- versity of the Virgin Islands. Mr David Barber, Director of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Department of Labor, provided information on the labor force and on employment. Data on HIV/STD were shared by Dr Lois V. Saunders and Mr Jasper Lettsome in the Department of Health’s STD/HIV/TB program. Vot- ers and Election data were provided by Mr John Abramsen, Supervisor of Elections, and Ms Natalie Thomas, Deputy Supervisor of Elections. In the VI Police Department, crime data were provided by Ms Riise Richards and Cpl. Ivan Rampersad. Also, in the Department of Human Services, Com- missioner Sedonie Halbert and Ms Lynn-Berry Rodina assisted in provid- ing the data that were requested.
