RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Purpose: To approve individual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UVI and DSC, between UVI and ACC, and between UVI and HLSCC. WHEREAS, the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is committed to supporting the intellectual and professional development of the workforce in the Virgin Islands and wider Caribbean as part of the University’s mission; and WHEREAS, UVI and the Dominica State College (DSC), the Anguilla Community College (ACC), and the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) have agreed to enter into individual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated on various days of 2019, which establishes, for a period of ten years, areas of academic and functional cooperation; and WHEREAS, on February 12, 2019, the Finance and Budget Committee of the Board of Trustees of UVI voted to recommend to the Board of Trustees the approval of said MOUs. RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Purpose: To approve individual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UVI and DSC, between UVI and ACC, and between UVI and HLSCC. WHEREAS, the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is committed to supporting the intellectual and professional development of the workforce in the Virgin Islands and wider Caribbean as part of the University’s mission; and WHEREAS, UVI and the Dominica State College (DSC), the Anguilla Community College (ACC), and the H. The University is authorized to enter into individual Memorandum of Understanding with DSC, ACC, and HLSCC for the duration of the MOU. 2. The President and Vice President for Administration and Finance are hereby authorized to take the necessary action to implement this resolution. 3. This resolution shall become effective March 2, 2019. CERTIFICATION The undersigned does hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and exact copy of a resolution of the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands adopted at its meeting on Saturday, March 2, 2019, as recorded in the minutes of said meeting.
