If my motion is adopted it naturally fol- lows that all bills will have 1o be re- introduced. Ist Member for Frederiksted {own (Coulter) remarked: Mr. Chairman. I m.st be romembered that the members of the committees appointed by the o.d Council were all retired members, The Chairman remarked: 1 remem- ber two years ago this question came up and it was agreed upon that all bills pending after the Council year shouid be continued. 2nd Member for Christiansted Town (Canegata) remarked: Mr. Chairman, When that matter was taken up it was voted that bills pending after the “oun cil year be continued, but not after an election. The Chairman then put to the vote the motion made by 2nd Member-for Chris. tiansted Town (C negata) that after a geveral §election of half or all the mem bers of the Council-all legislative matters then pending be reintroduced in the new Council. : 8 members voted for; 3 against. the Chairman remarked: The motion 1s carried.
